Damned if they do and damned if they don't. Budweiser just keeps on screwing the pooch...

Their marketing people seem to be flopping around
like a fish on the kitchen floor.
Anheuser-Busch is being accused of pandering to conservatives who have boycotted Bud Light by releasing a new Harley-Davidson-themed commercial for sister brand Budweiser.
The beer company, which has seen sales of Bud Light tank in recent weeks following the backlash over its partnership with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney, recently released a Budweiser ad touting specially created cans with the Harley Davidson logo.
“The greatest legacies are built with grit and resilience - one detail at a time,” the narrator of the commercial said in between footage of a mechanic tending to a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The commercial also cuts to shots of a can of Budweiser that bears the motorcycle brand’s logo.
'Quick - go get some bikers and some grease-monkeys to solve our image problems'. Yeah - good luck with that, Bud...

What a magnificent example of a time when pleasing the eye mattered as much as function.

The three stages of a pineapple's life in one photo. We never throw the tops away when we but pineapples from the store. If you don't know how to do this, Google it. Each one takes about nine months or thereabouts...

This lovely lady's name was Alison Steele, and she was reverentially reffered to as 'The Night Bird'. Over the WNEW-FM airwaves in the late 60's/early 70's she took us into the night with a smokey, sexy voice that was the stuff that made teen-age boys blush. If you were lucky enought o know who - and what - she was, you lived a good life, my friends.

occassionaly they actually have serious front page...

It's not so funny, really, but it's subtle and it makes the point
that perspective is relative.

He'd almost be likable if he didn't do shit like this...

Trump went back to his 2016 playbook of ridiculing his GOP rivals,
this time ripping Ron DeSantis for his dual pronunciation of his own name, and Chris Christie for his weight. DeSantis pronounced his name 'Ron dee-Santis' during his campaing announcement, but sometimes says is like 'da-Santis.' His Christie attack came in a repost of a slam by Roger Stone, who got a presidential commutation days before Trump left office. Christie is expected to jump into the presidential contest within days.
If he'd get his tongue to mellow out and stop slinging mud and bullshit like this, I'd be all for him. Right now I'm on the fence with him. I would much rather hear him talk policy and plans for the future than playing this schoolyard name-calling bullshit.
Leave that to the Dems, Don - they have nothing else to say...

She's suing Cosby 54 years after the fact...

A former Playboy model who alleges Bill Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her and another woman at his home in 1969 sued him Thursday under a new California law that suspends the statute of limitations on sex abuse claims.
In her lawsuit, Victoria Valentino, 80, says she was an actress and singer 54 years ago, when she met Cosby, now 85. The comedian and actor later approached her at a Los Angeles café, where he spotted her crying over the recent drowning death of her 6-year-old son.

Read this bullshit here and pray for her.
She must need the money something awful:

'The President is fine': White House says 80-year-old Biden is OK and blames SANDBAG for his fall at Air Force Academy commencement ceremony

He's falling - and failing - on almost every level, every day...

Biden has fallen - again - this time on stage while handing out
diplomas at the Air Force Academy in Colorado. The 80-year-old 'commander-in-chief' tripped and fell his knees and then got back up during the graduation ceremony.
The pool reporter said: 'POTUS was walking back to his seat when fell. He appeared to have tripped on a black sandbag on the stage. 'When he fell, pointed to the black sandbag suggesting that’s what he tripped on'.

Heading for Happy Hour? Here's a guide to how hammered you can get...

Quick thinking and an out at firstbase...

The Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr got this play - and the out - off Milwaukee's Christian Yelich by tossing his GLOVE with the ball stuck in it over to first base. Thanks to DailyMail.com for the video...

I added an accessory to my wife's car this morning.

I wonder how long it will take her to notice...

Celebrating 'Pride Month' at ESPN...

Breitbart reporting - ESPN has announced that it will raise a transgender pride flag at its Connecticut headquarters on Thursday in celebration of Gay Pride Month, and OutKick’s Clay Travis blasted the network for a “direct attack” on any employee who might disagree with the transgender agenda. Travis shared a screenshot of ESPN’s announcement on its website that it was raising what it is calling the “ESPN Equal” flag.
I have what appears to me to be a simple question - are there 'gay only' sports? Actually, a better question is 'What does gay pride month have anything to do with sports reporting?
You're gay? Okay with me. 'Pride month'?  - I'll take it or leave it, with the latter preferable to the former. Jus' sayin'...

Annoying Gen Z fame junkies are the latest dooshbags ruining Washingtom Square Park...

Why can't these dooshtools get real jobs?

New York Post reporting - Gen Z and young millennial content creators have invaded Washington Square Park with microphones and camera crews, desperate to find the next viral moment around the iconic fountain.
Chill habitues are Tik’d off at what’s become of the funky, 10-acre, cannabis-infused Greenwich Village mainstay.
“Washington Square Park is known for being unhinged, and I love it. But now, it’s unhinged in an annoying way,” Julia Martin, 22, told The Post. “They’re here and causing a scene.”

Rain or shine, the traffic-hungry TikToker dickbags search for their next target for a shock jock-style ambush interview - a type of content creation on the popular app that’s become overwhelmingly popular in New York.

Starting the day with good news and a giggle or two...

But first and foremost, the good news...

If there's a chance - no matter how remote - that these two chuckleheads will go away and never, ever return to the public, I'm happier'na clam.
According to news sources, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have “nothing left to say.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to stop publishing tell-alls, engaging in sit-down interviews, and taking part in large-scale documentaries in a shocking U-turn, according to a report.
“That period of their life is over — as there is nothing left to say,” a source told a reporter of the 'exiled couple’s' plan to step away from the limelight.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sensationally stepped down as senior members of the royal family in 2021 - a decision that was followed by a permanent move to the US amid their ongoing quest for “privacy.”

The sheer numbers of people here is almost too much to grasp. This is an aerial shot of Coney Island in Brooklyn, New York taken on July 4, 1946. Think about this also - damn near every one of these people took the subways to get there.

National Donut Day, which happens tommorow, Friday, June 2, gives us a reason to devour a donut or two –  and get a bargain in the process. There's also a charitable origin story into how the first Friday in June became known as National Donut Day: The Salvation Army in 1938 established it to honor the organization's Donut Lassies, women who traveled to France to serve donuts and other snacks to soldiers during World War I.
Now all of us can jump in and get free donuts (while supplies last) at the nation's biggest chains including Dunkin', Krispy Kreme and Duck Donuts - where ever they are. Google 'free donuts to find out where you can score a couple...

In this image taken from police body camera video provided by the Lowndes County, Ga., Sheriff's Office, a vehicle goes airborne after driving up the ramp of a flatbed tow truck on a Georgia highway, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, in Lowndes County, Ga. The Nissan Altima was launched 120 feet down the highway, according to a police report. The driver, a 21-year-old woman from Florida, was taken to South Georgia Medical Center with serious injuries.
The video is here - it's friggin' hilarious:
