Meaningless, stupid stunts...
What was supposed to be a thrilling pregame spectacle at the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas on Friday nearly turned into a disaster, as a parachuter got caught in the netting behind a goalpost.
The person was momentarily stuck near the netting approximately 35 feet above the ground by a wire at the top of the goalpost, before falling into a small crowd of people standing behind the end zone.
Bowl officials said the jumper was not injured and it did not appear that anyone was hurt on the ground.

Heads are spinning in California this morning...
About 95% of the population in California, which has had some of the nation’s strictest gun-control laws, live in counties of that size. US circuit judge Lawrence VanDyke, who was appointed by Donald Trump, said the Democratic-led state’s law could not stand under the US supreme court’s 2022 landmark gun rights ruling.
Why do you suppose the law was written the way it was - the counties with more people thing? I'd have to believe that had everything to do with LA and SanFran and pretty much nothing else. There's gotta be some seriously pissed off gun-haters out there right now. Good.

Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were captured by US forces during a “large-scale” nighttime military operation early this morning.
“The United States of America has successfully carried out a large-scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
I don't like this at all.

Pick the lowest level of stupidity that you can muster, and then try to go even lower under it. Who the fuck does she think she's pandering to with a ridiculous statement like that? It boggles the mind. A city stupid enough to elect someone like her doesn't deserve to have a baseball team. Juss' sayin'...

California Assembly Bill 544 was passed in July 2025 and took effect Friday. The new law mandates that all e-bikes must have a light or reflector at all times.
It’s an update to existing rules, which only required riders to have the safety equipment on at night. The reflector or light must also be visible from a distance of 500 feet.

I want you to meet my new Russkie music buddies...
Leonid and Friends is a Chicago and EWF tribute band based in Moscow. They began as a YouTube band, and now tour the United States extensively in the spring and fall. Leonid Vorobyev, is the founder and leader of the band.
I'm sure being crazy in Califuckia doesn't make you a criminal, does it? I guess not...

Sounds to me like shades of what New York City'll be doing under Damnommy - sending social workers out instead of cops. The real problem in Cali is that they just don't have enough cops. Nobody wants to work out there - unless it's in Beverly Hills, where the starting pay for a patrolman is in excess of $ 130,000 a year and there's virtually no crime - aside from the random family member killing his parents or some shit.
Why would anyone want a job where you actually DO your job, and your bosses and fucked-up judges just throw your hard work away? This can not work out well for anyone. A bizzare policy...
Another healthy HillBetty...

They don't flush backwards? Since when?
File under "News to Me": you know that old story about how northern hemisphere toilets flush counter-clockwise, and southern hemisphere toilets (and buckets, drains, and such) flush clockwise, due to the Coriolis effect? It's bogus! Today I learned that while the Coriolis effect is significant for hurricanes, it's not strong enough to make toilets flush in different directions at different points on the Earth. The real cause of "backwards"-flushing toilets is just that the water jets point in the opposite direction.
There actually is indeed a Coriolis effect, and we see it on grand scales - hurricanes in different hemispheres tend to rotate in different directions, because the underlying Earth is spinning, and the effect is exaggerated as you move farther from the equator. Who knew?
Going to WalMart to buy beer? Better bring your ID, Pops...
If you're a 'Yute', this effects you. Retailers across the state, such as Walmart, will be forced to comply with a new law that affects certain purchases customers make. And, the policy means that supermarket staffers cannot presume someone is over the age of 21. The rule affects shoppers who buy goods from the 59 Walmart-owned stores across Utah.
Under the new law, a shopper who is 80 years old will be required to show ID. However, retail staffers are not required to scan a person’s ID card. Just looking at the card and doing quick math suffices.
ID checks must also be carried out at restaurants and bars, according to the state’s Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services. Some establishments will have to go one step further.
Restaurants with an area that is separate from where customers dine must have scanners in place. Those wanting to go to bars across Utah must scan their ID cards before entering.
We're always glad when the old year is over...

Leave it to LaLaLand to come up with the newest batshit craziness...
And fourth-hand smoke is what? When a guy is smoking in his truck with the windows up but he drives past you? With all of the other crazy shit going on in Califuckia, this is the nonsense they dwell on. The bill, Introduced by Assemblymember Liz Ortega (a Dimocrat from San Francisco, of course) and passed unanimously, California Assembly Bill 455 requires homeowners to disclose any history of thirdhand smoke or vaping residue when selling their property. Vaping residue? I may be mistaken, but isn't that mostly just steam?
If the seller 'has knowledge' of any past smoking or nicotine use in the home, they must tell potential buyers in writing. The state’s Homeowners’ Guide to Environmental Hazards is also being updated to include thirdhand smoke.
