Any way, according to the Post from an article back in 2023, Loofah sponges may clean your body - but they’re apparently a sexy sign that people are getting down and dirty.
Residents from the Florida retirement complex the Villages, which The Post reported on in 2009 as being a “wild retirees getaway,” have been caught on video displaying loofahs on their cars, allegedly to distinguish their swinging sexual styles.
TikToker Tora Himan posted the 28-second clip, with the viral Dubskie song, “Oh No Oh No Oh No No No,” showcasing residents of the Villages community purchasing the multicolored shower scrubbers to hang on the roofs of their cars and golf carts with the caption, “They are everywhere!”
“The Villages is rocking out with their loofahs out!” one commenter quipped. However, not everyone agrees on the meaning behind the decorative ornaments. One commentor, who worked at the Villages for three years, suggests the loofahs simply help residents find their own vehicles since “all the retirees drive similar cars.”
And that, my story-loving friends, is the truth. I've seen some of these geezers look for their golf carts for a half-hour before they realize they drove their car to the bar, and the only reason the notice the car is because of their loofahs. 'Nuff said...

Another poser bites the dust. The University of Toronto has rescinded folk singer Buffy Sainte-Marie’s honorary degree. It’s the latest recognition Ms. Sainte-Marie has lost since a 2023 CBC News investigation called her Indigenous heritage into question, including the Order of Canada and Polaris Prize.
Ms. Sainte-Marie disputed the CBC’s reporting but acknowledged in a statement to The Canadian Press that she is American and not a Canadian citizen. Sainte-Marie rose to prominence as a folk performer in Toronto’s Yorkville music scene weaving activism into her music and appearances and becoming a prominent advocate for Indigenous causes on both sides of the border.
The University of Toronto did not provide reasons for revoking Ms. Sainte-Marie’s honorary Doctor of Laws degree, saying only that it received a petition in February 2025 requesting the move. The school says the committee recommended the degree be revoked at a meeting on April 20 this year and the executive committee later endorsed the recommendation. It says the governing council approved the rescindment on Wednesday.
