Try as I might (did I say that already?), I just can't divorce myself from my home State. Because I still have so many good frieds still living (trapped?) up there, I keep tabs on what's going on - and it just seems to get screwier and screwier by the day. This one is certainly a good examle of what I mean by 'screwie'.
As Shore Network News reported this mornming, – A proposed ordinance in Jackson Township would place new limits on how many dogs residents can keep, requiring households with more than five dogs to register as a kennel and comply with additional regulation. The measure has not yet been finalized but will be heard at the next township council meeting.
What's next - limiting the number of napkins you can use in restaurants? Limit the number of sheets of TP you can use to wipe your ass? It's all just government over-reach at it's worst.. I probably will never go back up. Shame...

I understand mislums don't like dogs, so this will be a start to control people.
ReplyDeleteNext: how many infidels are allowed to live in New Jersey.
^^^Yep. Muslim appeasement.
DeleteReminds me of the regulations that gave us low water usage toilets. Our masters in the management class thought it would enforce imperial policy with respect to water consumption. What really happens is people flush as many times as they deem necessary to achieve the same results as the legacy toilets did in a single flush. The effect is that more water and not less ends up being used.
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty reasonable I think. More than five dogs in permanent residence is a pretty big pack, even in the county. Whenever you see an article about animal abuse or a problem neighbor, it usually includes a bunch of dogs. Requiring more inspection (that is "some" vs none) and regulating as a kennel won't bother the typical dog owner with 1-3 animals and will put the puppy mills and herds under some scrutiny. As for the Muslim stuff- oh, nuts. This is about health hazards, nuisance owners, and illicit breeders.
ReplyDeleteBack in the 80's I had 6 small sized dogs.
ReplyDeleteDog license was 5 dollars per dog. Would be 30 dollars.
Kennel license was 25 dollars total.
So I would get the less expensive option.
I would think that most municipalities are still like this.
keep them all in one or two places, in tight groups. it will make it easier for Americans to corral them to be REMOVED rather than them to be scattered. there and the jiffy marts.
ReplyDeleteThere is an AMERICAN approach to this kind of issue: Wait for a critical number of citizens to agree that a backyard breeder's house has become offensive to everyone, and don't use that situation to penalize responsible dog owners whose house may have room for six dogs and three cats and seven children and four cars and nine bicycles, while still being kept like a tourist attraction.
ReplyDeleteCan we have a single-digit limit on the number of 2Gs per square mile?
