It appears the French, who are so good at defending their own country, have decided to pitch in and share their expertise with the Danes. Although Greenland is not actually a member of the European Union, EU leaders have rallied around the Kingdom of Denmark, which still exerts colonial control over the North American territory. Over the past week, Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden have all said that they will be sending troops to Greenland.
Two things here. First and foremost, as the article stipulates, Greenland is part of North American, not Europe. Secondly, if anything militarily-speaking ever did happen there, it would be the end of our participation in NATO. If we pull out of NATO and let them fend for themselves - which they should anyway - we could bring 80,000 of our troops home and save damn near a half trillion dollars a year.
Is that why DJT is doing what he's doing? Remember, this guy is one helluva chess player. Wait and see...
