Calvin unleashes on that small, bucolic little town...

The kid has the answer. And a black eye...

God - I thought I was the only one who noticed that orange tinge...

Was that a spray tan? You betcher ass it was. Either way, it's pretty friggin' hilarious, if ya think about it. Some flack in his campaign must have noticed that he looked like the living dead in the debate, and came up with the idea that if Joe can't beat 'the orange man', he might as well join him.
On a seperate note, did you notice, as the camera panned away from him at the end of the address, that the teleprompter screens were about 18" from his face? He moved his head back and forth between them so often it looked like he was watching a tennis match. Juss' sayin'...

The Summer of Love was a major social phenomenon that occurred in San Francisco during the summer of 1967. As many as 100,000 people, mostly young people, hippies, beatniks, and 1960s counterculture figures, converged in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district and Golden Gate Park. It's impossible for me to get my head around the idea that that took place more than a half-century ago. I got there five years later and it was still vibraant and silly and fun, but you could already see in '72 that it was sliding down a very slippery slope. Kids looking at SanFran nowadays wouldn't be able to grasp the concept.

I've said it before and you'll probably hear me say it 42 more times.
That place has to be a fun frickin' place to work.

This picture of Collier Pool, one of the 116 pools in The Villages. was taken by my friend Ron Clark, a very accomplished amateur photographer. Of the number of pools here, the vast majority of them are what we know as 'community pools' that are open to residents in all of the different Villages (read 'communities') here. They are not considered 'family pools' because no on under 35 years of age are allowed in them. The country club pools do cater to families and guests.

This is the Orange Blossom Country Club swimming pool that's four blocks from my house. Many consider it the nicest of all of the CC pools in The Villages. Life is good when you take advantage of it...

Of course it's a 'public safety issue'. It wouldn't be a cash-grab by the State, would it? I mean c'mon, man they really are concerned about your welfare, aren't they? Consider New York State who just went through one of those 'Click it or Ticket' campaigns. New York State issued more than 112,000 tickets during its most recent "Buckle Up New York, Click it or Ticket" initiative that ran from May 20th to June 2nd. The average ticket was $ 210.00. Granted, not all of those 112k were for seat belt 'violations', but a crackdown is a crackdown, and it's all done in our best interests, right? You can do the math on that one...

Here's yet another oh-too-cute HillBetty from our friends at Twisted Hillbilly.

The kid knows about solving problems...

I'da shot it down, too. Juss' sayin'...

Fox35orlando.com - A Florida man is behind bars after he allegedly shot a Walmart delivery drone, rendering it inoperable in Lake County, deputies said. Deputies were called to Walmart at 1450 Johns Lake Road in Clermont on Wednesday after drone delivery representatives reported the incident.
While awaiting a drone delivery's descent, the crew stood in front of a home located in a cul-de-sac. When the drone began to descend, one of the reps said he heard a loud sound consistent with a gun, deputies said. The rep told deputies he saw a 60-year-old white man wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt at the side of the home holding a gun towards the sky and the drone.
The crew returned to Walmart and had the drone fly back to the store. Deputies said that after inspecting the drone, the company reps discovered $2,500 worth of damage to its payload system.
Deputies returned to the home where the alleged shooting happened, where they met with 72-year-old Dennis Winn.

When asked if 'he had an incident with a drone', Winn' said he did. He told deputies he saw the drone fly over his home, prompting him to retrieve his gun to fire at it, an affidavit stated. Winn said he had experiences with drones flying over his home and believed it was watching him.

Another great gift from the Playboy archives...

I don't ask a lot of you, but PLEASE watch the video in this report...

Listen - if you're a regular reader here, you know that Washington Square Park in Manhattan is one of my favorite places in the world, and it is a fuckin' tragedy what's happened to it over the last six or seven years.
That being said, the queer folk in the city decided they wanted to end their 437th pride parade in the park, and evidently nobody told them there was gonna be a shitload of the usual suspects in there ahead of them, and the sual suspects evidently didn't take too kindly to their intrusion.

There's a short video at the beginning of this report in the Post. It's well worth watching just for the comedy value alone. Feel free to comment if you can - might be fun to hear your take on these shenanigans...

Could this be the stupidest protest group you've ever seen?

The monthlong celebration of LGBTQ Pride finally ended on Sunday, bringing rainbow-laden revelers to the streets in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and elsewhere across the globe. The wide-ranging festivities will function as both jubilant parties and political protests, as participants recognize the community’s gains while also calling attention to recent anti-LGBTQ laws, such as bans on transgender health care, passed by Republican-led states. This year, tensions over the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza are also seeping into the celebrations, exposing divisions within a community that is often aligned on political issues.

So, if I get this right, they're proud to be gay, they hate Jews and they like terrorists. Hmmm. Okay - works for me.
Holy fuck what is wrong with these people?

There's at least one joke in there that I won't go to, Calvin...

The number one question for Uncle Joe is...

Babs and I were discussing this whole thing over cocktails last evening, and the score at the time was Me-4, Babs-still milking her first glass of wine, but that's a discussion we can have later. Anyway, Babs said that Joe would probably resign before the election so his legacy would be having put in office the first half-black half-indian woman President. I retorted that made sense only if you discounted Joe's ego, which would NEVER allow him to step aside - not ever. I also stated that if it became too obvious that Joe really did hadda go, he himself wouldn't say shit. Dr. Jill would make the announcement and we'd probably never see Joe again. I like that theory a lot...

Rideshare drivers in Massachusetts will soon get company-provided
benefits, as well as a minimum pay of $32.50 per hour, starting on August 15th. That’s thanks to a new settlement between the state and rideshare companies Uber and Lyft, four years after Attorney General Andrea Campbell sued the companies, asserting their drivers ought to be considered employees under state law.

And before you ask, yes, of course she's a Dem and boy, don't she look like a real go-getter, hard-nose, takes-no-bullshit crime fighter?
Okay, so here's a question. Why is the AG doing shit like this? Isn't their job to stop crime or some shit like this? And ya know what Uber shoulda done? Said, okay - fuck you and just pulled outta the state.
God this shit makes me crazy.

This reminded me of a picture of a really pretty cowgirl I posted a month or so ago.
It was only after I posted it did I realize that - as pretty as she was - she had no fingernails. None. Took a closer look and realized she wasn't real at all.
Fuck it - real or not, I'da tappedat...
