Yeah, well, they sure wouldn't be voting Republican, that's for certain...

This cartoon published yesterday depicted members of the Iranian regime and its proxies demonstrating support for Democratic candidates. Figures wearing IRGC uniforms and clerical garb carry signs that explicitly link the regime to the DNC and call for a Trump defeat. The drawing uses the visual premise of Iranian state actors campaigning for liuberals, who would, upon getting a majority, put a stop to virtually anything Trump-ish.
The broader context involves long-standing U.S. concerns over Iranian interference in American politics and elections. Tehran has historically opposed Trump administration policies that included maximum pressure sanctions and the killing of Qasem Soleimani. Democrats have faced repeated Republican accusations of being softer on the regime, a charge the cartoon amplifies by placing regime symbols alongside the Dimocratic slogans.
