The “real” name of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) has been revealed in a federal court filing with an identical surname to that of her ex-husband - and rumored brother. Prosecutors referred to the Minnesota Democrat as
“Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar,”
in a Wednesday filing in DC federal court, which officials and legal experts said was indicative of the evidence compiled so far in an immigration fraud investigation into the “Squad” rep.
A source familiar with the investigation confirmed that Omar is not the congresswoman’s “real” last name, which was first reported by Fox News. It’s unclear what charges could result from her purported use of an alias.
