Every letter should start with the words 'Dear Mr. President'...

At first I was insulted that he'd think he can 'buy' my vote, but then I thought, fuck it, I'm gonna probably vote the way he wants me to anyway, so, fuck yeah, show me the money, Jerry...
The one major question is how Trump would actually get the money out the door. Trump says he does not believe he needs congressional approval to issue the dividend, and administration officials have reportedly argued the same. House Speaker Mike Johnson disagrees, saying Congress would need to act before payments of this magnitude could be distributed.
Trump has suggested government revenues, including money generated by tariffs, could help pay for the plan. Sending $5,000 to roughly 240 million adult U.S. citizens, however, would carry an estimated price tag of about $1.2 trillion, and Trump has not yet publicly detailed the specific legal and financial mechanism he would use to distribute that amount without Congress.
The administration has recently demonstrated that it can make some smaller direct payments using money Congress has already authorized. But a nationwide $5,000 dividend would be on an entirely different scale.
So the “catch” isn’t that Americans would automatically be getting $5,000 anytime soon. As Trump has most recently described the proposal, it would be for adult U.S. citizens, not every member of a household.
Are you following all of this? What a stupid fuckin' idea this was from the git-go, Donny Boy...

The cartoon responds to a published 25 page open letter and public
appeal by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) spokesman Hossein Mohebbi, addressing U.S. voters ahead of the November 3, 2026 midterm elections.
In the letter, the IRGC urged American voters to oppose Donald Trump's administration and vote out his congressional allies, criticizing U.S. foreign policy, support for Israel, and military actions.

We tend to wax on about the glory days when he was President, but he shit the bed a couple times during his tenure in the White House, not the least of  whih was this bill ssigning. In 1986, Reagan signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), a landmark immigration law that granted legal status to nearly 3 million undocumented immigrants who had entered the United States before January 1, 1982.
The legislation combined two major goals. It offered a pathway to legal residency for long-term undocumented immigrants who met specific requirements while also introducing employer sanctions, making it illegal to knowingly hire unauthorized workers. Supporters hoped the combination of legalization and stricter enforcement would reduce future illegal immigration. Didn't happen. They flooded in...

On his first day in office, January 20, 2021, President Joe Biden signed a stack of orders that reversed energy and border policy before the week was out.
He revoked the federal permit for the Keystone XL pipeline, a project planned to move roughly 800,000 barrels of Canadian oil a day to the Gulf Coast. The same climate order froze federal oil and gas leasing in the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. That day, the acting Interior secretary also suspended new oil and gas leases and drilling permits on federal lands and waters for 60 days. Existing wells kept producing. New federal leasing did not.
The border moves landed in the same first batch. Biden terminated the national emergency used to fund the southern border wall and ordered construction paused. He ended the travel restrictions on several countries. He scrapped the 1776 Commission. Within days, the administration moved to pause deportations and unwind interior enforcement priorities.
Supporters called it a reset. Critics called it a warning. Keystone was dead, ANWR leasing was frozen, new federal drilling permits were on hold, wall construction had stopped, and the border was being opened. The argument over what that first day cost the country has not ended.

When I first saw this cartoon I thought 'Yeah - good luck with that', right? But I kinda dwelled on it and realized it's pretty much the same thing as we have in both houses of Gongress. They are their own 'watchdogs'. They make the rules, which is why we'll never, ever see a term-limit bill even proposed, let alone voted on. Same with restricting stock trading while in office. Yeah, that ain't gonna happen either. Juss' sayin'...

This new banner being carried by the smiling idiot members of the Revolutionary Communists of America (RCA), a Trotskyist communist political organization in the United States. The Revolutionary Communists of America was founded in July 2024 and serves as the United States section of the Revolutionary Communist International (RCI).
The banner features a typical Soviet-era symbol - white hammer and sickle emblem alongside the group's name, which are regularly displayed at public demonstrations, labor rallies, and marches such as May Day events. The group advocates for the overthrow of capitalism, the creation of a workers' government, and the organization of local cells on college campuses and in workplaces.
What would you do if you found out your son or granddaughter was involved in an organization like this?
