As if we don't have enough to worry about, it looks like all these fat people jabbing themselves to lose weight aren't bellying up to the bar as much as they used to. Heineken has urged pubs to serve more half-pints as the growing popularity of weight-loss jabs threatens beer sales.
The Dutch brewing giant has warned pub owners in Europe that traditional drinking sessions where people enjoy several pints could become rarer as millions turn to appetite-suppressing medications. It has advised pubs and bars to prioritise smaller drinks, low-alcohol beers and smaller portions to avoid losing customers.
According to a presentation seen by Reuters, Heineken warned hospitality businesses that medicines such as Ozempic and Wegovy could reduce demand for beer and cider by making drinkers feel fuller and less inclined to order food and drink. However, the Dutch brewing giant insisted that people taking weight-loss drugs were not giving up alcohol altogether.

Its research suggested they were increasingly choosing smaller drinks, weaker beers or more expensive products rather than abandoning pubs entirely. A spokesman said: “Our latest consumer research suggests GLP-1 users are not simply replacing alcohol. They are becoming more purposeful in their choices and broadening their preferences, including smaller quantities, lower-ABV beverages or more premium options.”
Yeah - good luck with that...

At least 6,000 homeless addicts — many from out of state — were lured to California detox centers by “body brokers” working for a pair of accused fraudsters in a $1.6 billion rehab scheme considered the largest in history, federal prosecutors revealed.
Los Angeles rehab king David Young, 71, and his son Nathan Young, 39, allegedly offered free flights, groceries and other perks as part of their substance abuse scam to traffic addicts into dozens of California rehab centers, according to Department of Justice prosecutors.

While the couple’s use of the roughly 1,500-square-foot building may seem many decades in the past, it actually isn’t as distant as it may seem. Should this residence now sell, it would mark the first time since December 1988 that it changed hands. Pollock and Krasner resided at No. 9 in 1949 and 1950, according to Brick Underground, having borrowed the dwelling from Pollock’s friend and benefactor, the painter Alfonso Ossorio.
I would buy that place yesterday if I had the dough and the inclination to live in a City ruled by a Muslim madman.

As we've said here time and again. Islam gets a bad rap here in the US. The question still remains as to whether it is a religion or just an ideology, and I'm certainly not smart enough to give you a definitive answer on that.
One thing I am sure of, though - if it is in fact a religion - is that it is a religion of love and tolerance for the beliefs of other. All you need do to understand that premise is to read their 'good book', the Quran, or as we like to call it, the Koran, which Muslims believe is the direct and final revelation from God (Allah).
I've taken the liberty to pull a few examples from that
'holy' book to illustrate my point:

A simpleton is a person lacking common sense, intelligence, or sound judgment, and someone who is easily deceived or naive, someone with limited mental capacity, low intelligence, or a lack of practical wisdom.
The word also often implies being overly trusting, gullible, or easily manipulated rather than purely malicious. That explains that, doesn't it? Feel free to use that word often...
