Seems like every election cycle, a bunch of bullshit prromises get dug up , remixed and rehashed. Here's a couple things that voters fall for on a regular basis:
- "I'll lower insurance rates for homeowners" - Well, short of passing draconian laws, the insurance business ios a free-market business, and any government tampering usual end up with higher, not lower, premiums.
- "I'll drive down the price of Gasoline" - Again, even the POTUS has zero power of what gas costs, because fuel oil is priced as a global market, always and only driven by supply and demand. The only thing a President can do is create an environment that restricts supply, driving prices up.
- "I'll lower healthcare costs" - Yeah, two words for that: Barack Obama.
- "I'll promise you the moon and the stars, and then not deliver a thing you thought I'd do for you" - the only honest thing they could say.
Here's the deal. Disregard and forget altogether all of the promises made during campaigns. Check the quality of the character involved. Good family values? Someone who's actually had a real job, not just 'public service'. Shit like that matters. Not what they claim they can deliver if you put them in office.
I have a single phlosophy about politicians in general - anyone who wants the job is the wrong person for it. You figure that one out for yourself.

Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdulrahman El-Sayed has criticized anti-fentanyl laws designed to punish drug dealers and deter drug use as draconian while advocating for supervised consumption sites where individuals can use illegal drugs under observation. And people in te hudreds of thousands will vote for this guy. Michigan is losing a lot of the red that makes it a 'purple State'.

November will be glorious for those who really love America. You can't say you love America while cheering for concentration camps, corruption, tech oligarchs and the destruction of the first amendment.
It is amazing to see how much Trump and his followers increasingly rely on Ai to create a reality in which he is winning, successful and strong. If you think about it for 10 seconds you realize that they choose to create this "fake reality" because the actual reality reflects an image that is nothing like strength, success or winning.
ReplyDeleteReal life shows a reflection that is not flattering so Trump and his followers spend more an more time looking at Ai images that show him as muscular, a rock star or leading a band of tech oligarchs.
In reality Trump is an 80 year old overweight man that wears more make up than his wife. In real life Trump is not rocking with Xi. Xi is toying with him while he cowers at Xi's feet. Trump is not leading the Ai revolution (rock band) with the tech oligarchs. In real life tech oligarchs are using him to run their businesses as far as possible even if that means the loss of lives and livelihoods for Americans.
Trump and his followers are using Ai to escape reality.
