The Trump Administration slapped a 50% tariff on certain Canada goods in reprisal for what the White House called unfair restrictions on U.S. auto sales in Canada.
It was ordered to go in effect immediately. Sunday the Toronto Blue Jays lost 4-0 to the Chicago White Sox, 6-0 with the tariff.

One man was arrested in Eysines, Gironde on suspicion of burglary. Police said the man was stopped in front of an empty home at around 6.15pm on Saturday. When cops searched his car they found 44 bottles of fine wine stowed away inside.
The suspect – already known to police – was arrested and taken into custody. The arrest comes as French authorities are ready to evacuate the entire city of Bordeaux – “erratic” fire whirlwinds are sending flames ripping towards its nearly one million residents.

It may well be the only redeeming factor in an otherwise gone-to-shit seaside town. If you remember, Seaside is where that unbelievably fucking trashy MTV 'Jersey Shore' show took place. Here's the funniest (actually most fucked up) thing about that show - every single person who 'starred' on that show (if that word is correct) was from Staten Island, New York City.
If that show did anything of value during it's run, nobody noticed. It celebrated bad behaviour and fortified every stereotype about Italian-Americans ever created.
But I digress, yet again. The steak sandwiches at Midway are nothing to write home about. It's the sausage and pepper sandwiches you go there for. Only I can make 'em better. Juss' sayin'...

The head of the New Jersey Republican Party claims that many more non-citizens were illegally registered to vote between 2023 and 2024 than the 6,600 reported last week by Democratic Gov. Mikie Sherrill. GOP Chairwoman Christine Hanlon on Sunday said Sherrill’s figure was just the tip of the iceberg in the emerging scandal. “They’re indicating it’s over 6,000, but I know it’s more than that,” Hanlon told 77 WABC the “Cats Roundtable” program.
The registering of non-citizens occurred under Sherrill’s predecessor, former Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy, through the NJ Commission on Motor Vehicles’ automatic voter enrollment program when residents apply for an ID.
