Jersey takes another hit, plus...

Coupla things mention-worthy in that headline, not the least of which is the idea that these guys would threaten to quit their cushy, no-brainer high-pay/big benefits jobs just because they'd have to go to Jersey? That's a laugh in and of itself, but anyway. I am a firm believer that government employees should not be allowed to have a union.
Don't get me wrong - I support most - not all - unions. It's just that I think working within and for the government should be treated differently than the private sector. Chime in however you want on this - I'd be interested to hear what you have to say on this.

The Smithsonian published a pamphlet teaching kids that politeness, being on time, hard work and a nuclear family are symbols of white supremacy.
So you see, Nazism did not die with Hitler. It lives on today through Leave it to Beaver, Ozzie and Harriet, Little house on the prairie and My three sons reruns.

I've mentioned before that I admire this guy's work,
not so much for the content as for the actual artwork itself. As for the content, this one's a doozy. You can tell he's got his feet firmly planted on the party line with this.
Just thinking that DJT would somehow rank below his mumbling, stumbling predecessor is just ridiculous, but then again, that's what absolute adherence to a party narrative is all about, isn't it?

What do you do with the opinion of a racist idiot of a guy who likes taking it up the ole' poop chute? How and why is this guy relevant in any way anymore? Seriously - the media's gotta find something better to present us than these tired, worn-out, useless old party hacks - from either side of the aisle, although it does seem to me that ones from the 'other' side, whether it's guys like him or cows like that unfunny fat broad who moved out of here 'causa Trump but is now somehow miraculously back again with a new face that is not an improvement over the old one - you know who I mean - are worthless...

How'd dat first date work out, Shuga? According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, 67-year-old David O’Brien offered a woman $1,000 to be his “sugar baby” after meeting her on Tinder. Investigators say the woman later felt uncomfortable and left with friends. O’Brien allegedly chased their vehicle, rammed it twice, then pointed a handgun at one of the occupants before deputies arrested him. He now faces charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and multiple counts of aggravated battery.

Yeah  - don't quite get the point of this one...

I remember back in the summer of '58 or '59, my father rented one of these for the five of us - him, my mom and my two brothers - drove from NJ to Quebec for a week's vacation.
Five of us in the station wagon and sleeping in that thing, camping out in public campsites and stuff. Longest seven days of my life.

  2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Gov't workers got the right to organize by means of a JFK exec. order.

  3. about those Army Engineer gubmint employees - prolly about 1/2 of them domicile on the far side of Manhattan as a guess - so moving offices to NJ would make their commute suck more, presuming they are not still on the COVID "work from home" thing whenever possible anyway. Corps of Engineers offices apparently in the Federal buildings in lower Manhattan. We can thank JFK for allowing gubmint employees to unionize.

  4. I firmly believe in the right to bargain collectively. Admittedly, most of my work life has been on the other side of the table. I grew up in Detroit and thought the customs that evolved in the auto industry were law. A lot of folks don't realize that if you are striking for wages, you can be replaced. Striking over safety issues is different. As I write this, I realized its been over 40 years since I studied labor law so I wont opinionate any more.

  6. Kennedy let federal workers unionize. The SEIU bastards unionized 20 years ago (?) and California let state workers unionize not long after. Wages and benefits skyrocketed driving up the cost of living for those in the private sector. Wanna know why the cost of living is high in commiefornia well there's your answer.
My dad was a state worker and he adamantly opposed this because he knew what would happen.

  8. BHO reignited the race war in America, brought in the Somalians and islam, promoted the gay agenda, took away gun rights, destroyed healthcare and started 7(?) wars and they think Trump was bad?

  12. The cat lady one points out how empty and pointless her life is without a husband and children. The first panel has been around a while. The second panel is newer and reinforces the point of the first panel. Too bad they didn’t draw the bottles of Valtrex and Prozac as well.
Feminism has poisoned women for several generations now, morally, emotionally, and physically.

    1. Thank you! Yours is the money comment for today, 07/28/2026. My only observation about that purple-haired Bint in the cartoon is that the artist made her rather decent-looking. The reality is a cross between Ellen DeGeneres and Kathy Griffin.

  15. So move the office and let them quit. Then do not replace them. Whatever is being done in that office will get done more efficiently.

  16. I would go further than banning public unions. I'd remove the franchise (right to vote) for anyone who receives a public check of any kind with the possible exception for honorably discharged uniformed veterans, for 12 months after the last check.

  18. Unions are like civil rights activists, there was once a need for them, but not for several decades. Unions were needed when workers were forced to work in unsafe environments under unfair conditions. After the problems were fixed, the unions, like the civil rights activists, never went away. Unions have done great harm to this country by demanding and demanding until their demands could no longer be met. Then the jobs went to China.
