These two guys from Virginia is on a mission to visit every single Texas Roadhouse location in the country – and that’s about 750 to 800 different restaurants. Judy and Mike McNamara, both 73, spend roughly 3.5 months out of the year traveling and hitting up new steakhouse spots to meet their goal, breaking their travels into two major cross-country trips.
When The U.S. Sun spoke with the McNamaras on Thursday, they were in the middle of their 48-day Texas Roadhouse summer trip, with another 40-day adventure planned for November and December.
The retired couple said they were on the homeward leg of their summer stint, moving through Illinois after recently visiting Texas Roadhouse restaurants in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Utah, Montana, and Idaho.
For lunch yesterday, the McNamaras visited a steakhouse in Aurora, Illinois, about 40 miles or so west of downtown Chicago, marking their 584th unique location visit. While the 73-year-olds have dined at Texas Roadhouse hundreds of times, they said the food never gets old.
