That little blue blipdot points to where I live. This is a screen cap from this morning's radar and it looks like we might have a good, solid five+ hours of substantial rain ahead of us today. We can really use it. Like most of the rest of the country, we've been in a serious drought now going on about six monthhs.
The weather people say we're shy something like 30" of rain, just for this year. You can tell just by looking at all of the lakes in our region. Every one of them is substantially down from normal levels - some of the smaller ones as much as six feet shy. All that bein' said, most rain storms here come with an amazing amount of thunder and lightning. Guess I won't see the cat 'til sometime tonight...
