A guy was in the right place at the wrong time and managed to capture video of the exact moment a train crashed into a truck carrying a septic tank – sending sewage spewing onto a Virginia road and leaving the driver with life-threatening injuries. The man behind the wheel was critically injured after he allegedly blew a stop sign and drove onto train tracks Thursday in Chesapeake, according to preliminary findings shared by police. As the ill-fated truck carrying a massive silver septic tank traveled over the tracks around 4 p.m., it was T-boned by the oncoming locomotive, as seen in the video.
The truck spun out of control and knocked over a tree as murky-colored sewage spewed into the air. First responders rushed to the scene and took the male driver to the hospital. He was in stable condition as of Friday. Authorities have not released any further information about his identity. Police said the dramatic incident triggered a “minor hazmat situation,” but there was no immediate threat to the public. The 20 second video is here.
