A bad night in Enid coulda been a lot worse...

A powerful tornado in Oklahoma on Thursday ripped roofs off buildings, knocked down power poles and sent emergency crews rushing into a rural community near Vance Air Force Base. The confirmed tornado moved across parts of Enid, a city of about 50,000 people near the state’s northern border, according to the National Weather Service. Video posted online show a rapidly rotating column of air touching down along with totaled homes. There were no immediate reports of fatalities and only minor injuries hours after the tornado passed through, according to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.

Enid is - or at least was when I was there back in the 70's - a classic small, redneck-ish kinda town where damn near everybody knows everybody, and, were it not for the tornado potential, would almost be an ideallic place to live if you're in to a small town, Barney Fife kinda lifestyle.

Ya know, they called it rock music, but it was much more than that, and I was - and still am - a huge fan of YES. For one, they are/were a class act - not ever hearing a single bad or malicious story heard about any of them. Truth is, though, they weren't rockers as much as they were musical conjurors - a stoner's delight. A turntable, a decent amp and a good set of headphones and there you are...

Nearly half (47%) of adults ages 18-29 said if they had the option, they’d choose to live in the past, according to a new NBC News Decision Desk Poll powered by SurveyMonkey.

One-third said they’d pick a time period less than 50 years in the past, while another 14% said they’d choose more than 50 years in the past.

My, how they lie. This broad - the new Governor up there,  along with that jerkoff up in New York City, are classic examples of the FAFO theory as it's applied to elections but for one thing. At least he said up front he was gonna do all kindsa stupid shit, and he's coming through with his promises. She, on the other hand, looked and sounded nothing like what she's proving herself to be now that she's in office. She's an idealogue socialist with TDS at her core. Virginians are gonna get everything they deserve for electing her.

When government - in pursuit of good intentions - tries to rearrange the economy, legislate morality, or help special interests, the cost come in inefficiency, lack of motivation, and loss of freedom. Government should be a referee, not an active player.

Somebody told me that Lyndon Johnson's wife Lady Bird was somehow responsible for all of it having been planted in some kinda 'Make America Beautiful Again' kinda program she initiated. Have you guys heard anything about that? Chime in if you can...

Imagine, if you can, being so filled with bitterness, anger and hatred - like this Jeffries jerkoff is - that every single thing that comes out of his mouth is 110% bullshit.
It'll be interesting to see if a feud between him and DeSantis develops, 'cause DeSantis'll eat this guys lunch seven ways to Saturday. Juss' sayin' that DeSantis should be the next President of this country. That is my honest belief.

  1. LBJ’s wife did indeed start the “Make America Beautiful” program in an effort to reduce eyesores along federal highways. No more Burma Shave signs, billboards, dilapidated buildings, and increases in roadside trash pickup efforts. Also included planting wildflowers and shrubbery.

  2. Ladybird most certainly started a campaign to plant wildflower seeds along the highways of the nation, but whether all the phlox is a direct result who knows. Many states kept the program going in their own ways once hers ended. Some places actually denote specific wildflower areas with signs and warnings not to oick or mow. I know of several areas along GA highways with signage of that nature.

  3. Lady Bird also had many billboards along the highways removed.

  7. Spanberger - anyone in Virginia who actually paid attention to the bitch's record is not surprised by her very far left tilt. We warned people.
