Now this is one cool (and old) cat. But 'Flossie'? I thought that was a horse's name...

Did she combine all her nine lives in one?

An aged cat named Flossie has just reached another major life milestone. The long-lived feline turned 30 on Dec. 29, extending her Guinness World Record run as the oldest living cat on Earth.
Cats typically live 12 to 17 years, with indoor cats generally living longer (around 12-15+) than outdoor or feral cats (3-5 years), thanks to better care, diet, and fewer hazards, though some well-cared-for felines can reach 20 or more, with the record holder living to 38. Key factors include indoor/outdoor status, nutrition, vet care, and genetics.

Creme Puff, a mixed tabby from Austin, Texas, holds the Guinness World Record as the oldest cat ever recorded, living an incredible 38 years and 3 days (August 3, 1967 – August 6, 2005). Her owner, Jake Perry, also owned the previous record holder, Grandpa Rex Allen, and credited their longevity to an unusual diet of eggs, bacon, broccoli, coffee with cream, and occasional red wine.
