Let them eat cake, but not SlimJims or pther junk food...

Retail industry and health policy experts said state SNAP programs, already under pressure from steep budget cuts, are unprepared for the complex changes, with no complete lists of the foods affected and technical point-of-sale challenges that vary by state and store. And research remains mixed about whether restricting SNAP purchases improves diet quality and health.
The National Retail Federation, a trade association, predicted longer checkout lines and more customer complaints as SNAP recipients learn which foods are affected by the new waivers.

They shouldn't be buying junk food and other shit with government 'benefits'. Fuck that. Fresh, healthy food - even some prepared meals and processed foods should be okay, but fuck them buying Cheetos and Hawaiian Punch with SNAP. It's not a free ride. It's supposed to be a lifeline. Treat it as such.
And fuck the retailers. They're selling the shit that's making people sick.
Juss' sayin'..

There's still some great year-end deals available.

  2. They'll just find new ways to cheat the system. It's philosophy, a way of life. They truly believe the rest of the world owes them a living. To many participation awards.

    1. I '76 I was behind a welfare momasita at a King Sooper's in north Denver, when the cashier said she couldn't buy cat food with food stamps. She wispered into one of her urchins ears, who came back with eight big cans of salmon. Nuff said.

  3. It has been suggested elsewhere on the Interwebs that SNAP recipients be limited to what was available to schoolkids when Moochelle was running the school lunch program.
