Are things really looking up?

 
Every year we go throught he same bullshit at New Year's - full of hope for the future and trying to let go of the past. It just never works. Memories cling like toilet paper you can't get rid of, and the future? It's always 'same shit, different day'.

I wish I could be more optomistic about the future, but the reality is, I'm not gonna be around too much longer (another 20 years would be a god-send) and I personlly have little or no control over what may - or may not - happen. 

Best we can hope for is that no one rocks our boat, both nationally and personally, so much that it upsets the rest of our journey.

Have a great, safe, healthy New Year, and I hope we';; all be together for the next New Years Eve...
