One last, personal item I wanna get off my chest...

I may have mentioned once or twice that I don't watch much TV - I pretty much only put it on to go to sleep. Seriously. Babs watches some, but we're not at all like some of those old farts watching wheel of whatever in the afternoons.
That being said, I just cancelled my DirectTV account. I had thought, because we didn't have any premium shit like HBO, that my bill was like $ 70.00 or so. Jerkoff that I am, I didn't pay attention enough to my credit card bill, and I saw they were now charging us $ 129.00 a month, and the only reason I started to check it out was 'cause the fuckers took TCM off my account without telling me.
Well, long and short of it, I shitcanned 'em with my bank, closed my account and blocked any direct payments to them. The jerkoffs don't even want their shit back! They told me to chuck it. Jeez.
Anyway, I have Amazon Prime (do you?) a Fire stick a friend gave me that's unlocked (sshhh) and Samsung TV has like 599 free channels, so fuck them and the horse hey rode out on.

That's $ 1,500 a year back in my pockets -
basically, a Heineken every day for free.

  1. You know, there are a lot of old movies that have entered public domain that you can watch or download at no charge. There is even a web site https://publicdomainmovie.net stuff like "At War with the Army" (Martin and Lewis), "Boys of the City" (The Bowery Boys) most Abbot and Costello, The Three Stooges etc.

  2. I spend time on YouTube. There are Westerns, all sorts of sixties stuff. Shorts, great minute murderers..

  3. Just did the same for my Spotify account. They raised the price to $16 a month from 13. I'm now using the Amazon music that comes with the Prime account.

Tidy up or pay the fiddler...

This house is about four blocks from my house, and, yes, it is a shithole. A Villager has been given one week to remove debris from his prop...
