Undoing what DOGE done done?

CBS News, com - Elon Musk says he is "disappointed" by the price tag of the domestic policy bill passed by Republicans in the House last week and heavily backed by President Trump. The billionaire who recently stepped back from running the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, made the remark during an exclusive broadcast interview with "CBS Sunday Morning."
"I was disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decreases it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing," Musk said.
Musk's comments appear to put him at odds with Mr. Trump, who has championed the massive spending package. The legislation - which still needs to pass the Senate - would extend Mr. Trump's signature 2017 tax cuts, boost border security spending, impose work requirements on Medicaid and roll back clean energy tax credits. It also adds almost $ 5,000,000,000,000.00 to the national debt if thinghs don't work out the way DJT wants it to.
I gotta tell ya - I'm not a big fan of most of this thing myself. Juss' sayin'...

  1. Musk is correct. It is an abomination and since it adds hugely to the deficit it should be shitcanned and replaced with a responsible bill that cuts spending. Trump assures us that cuts will be made but we've been getting that same assurance since I first started paying attention to politics in the Sixties and it has yet to happen.

  2. Please explain why we bothered to uncover trillions of dollars of waste, fraud and abuse, ONLY to put forth a bill that includes virtually the SAME levels of wasteful spending as last year's bills? Elon should be pissed, EVERYONE should be pissed, and Trump should be ashamed of himself for not fulfilling his promises, all because he tied himself to this stupid "big beautiful bill" concept that is anemic in its cuts and reckless in its spending. Between NO Epstein files, NO ARRESTS, NO PROSECUTIONS, and now NO REAL SPENDING CUTS, his supporters are rightfully getting pretty fed up. I see memes saying that 80,000,000 support Trump, not the Republican party, but I can assure you that those 80,000,000 are getting pretty sick and tired of the NOTHING that is coming from this administration so far.

Once Trump is done with this country it's going to be very hard to recover from the economic damage he has done, we won't recover in my lifetime.

Tidy up or pay the fiddler...

This house is about four blocks from my house, and, yes, it is a shithole. A Villager has been given one week to remove debris from his prop...
