Hey, little buddy. Need a lift? I'm going to Philly...

After successfully meeting people and hitchhiking by himself through Germany and across Canada and most of the way back eastbound across the US, his hitchhiking adventures were ended in Philadelphia when he was beaten and decapitated…

  1. Philadelphia city of love or city of "starts with 'th', ends with 'ugs'"?

  2. back in the early 1990's had a army buddy that stayed with me for a while. he was from the "left" coast .
after living in Philly and taking the "EL" or subway every day to work he ask me why I wasn't in the klan.
no shit, he told me, he never met a more ruder bunch of assholes in his life until he got there.
he left after a year or so, just to get away from "them" so , something like this is kind of par for Philly.
anyone with brains has left there years ago if they could. it is a real shithole.
after I left there, I got a survey in the mail asking why did I leave their wonderful city. no really I did.
I wrote back saying I was the wrong color to live there anymore. still got the 10 buck gift card though.
if the big collages ever close down, that place is dead. they are the only thing keeping it alive.
the U of Penn has the 4th largest police force in the state. does that tell you anything ?
and they never let the true crime stats see the light of day. it that bad there.

  4. Having lived in and around Philly for four decades, I can attest that the majority of citizens living within the city limits are multiple generation welfare grubbers who have little or no respect for others or for themselves. "Ghetto" rats may be a proper term.

    1. you sir, are way too kind to them. shame really, it used to be a great town/city back in the 1960's.
but a lot of it changed after 68. and then they started to build the "projects" and that is when things really started to get bad. people started locking up everything after that. NOW, if they can't steal it, they will fuck it up so you can not use it. cars, they key them for no reason other than it's not theirs. and everything is behind plastic and locked up
there was a supermarket there once, it closed down after losing over 6 grand a month to shoplifters.
funny, as a kid. I remember there was 2 of them in walking distance.
no one in their right mind lives there unless you have too for some reason.
