According to reports, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents as of Friday had rounded up 7,260 illegal migrants, according to a compilation of daily totals of arrests since Jan. 23 posted on X by ICE.
The agency also reports lodging 5,763 “detainer” requests with local authorities, asking them to turn over migrants targeted for deportation.
The raids are centered on sanctuary cities like New York City, Chicago and Boston and those arrested include illegals accused of rape, sex crimes against minors, and guns and drug offenses, ICE said. The effort is part of the major crackdown in large cities across America that Trump promised on the campaign trail and also has led to weeding some members of the notorious Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gangs off the streets.
Considering there are 8,000,00 of them here 0 and most consider that number very low - it would take somewhere around 1,100 days to get 'em all, at this pace, but it is good they're targetting the known bad guys first.
Question - why wasn't this done under the previous administration if they're 'known criminals' and they knew where they were? Asking for a friend...

If you arrest 7260 in 6 days that's an average of 1210 per day (7260/6=1210)
8 000 000/1210=6611.5 days or 18 years (his presidential term is 1460 days)
Trump mentioned something like 11 million illegals, an even bigger number that will take an even longer 9091 days or 25 years.
Just to add to my previous post, I looked at the wrong month on my calendar getting a 6 day average when it should be 9 days which means a lower daily average arrest rate of 807 arrest which would take even longer than my previous values to arrest all these illegals.

ReplyDeleteMy neighbors are easily 40% to 50% Spanish, and nobody is nervous at all. They want the criminal illegals out! Any non-violent or criminal illegals, we'll work with as needed, but the criminals have to go.
ReplyDeleteIMHO there are probably 50 million illegals here, give or take a few million. If you think back here were stories and photos of the trainloads and hordes of walking illegals heading for the US back during the Obama 8 year nightmare. For decades they have been streaming in and overstaying visas by the thousands, long before Biden opened the borders to his 4 year tsunami. But the Feral government estimate of how many were here hardly moved year after year in the pre-Biden era.
ReplyDeleteThe democrats don't want Trump deporting their new voters. They are looking forward to the next ten year census to count all the illegals that will give their sanctuary cities and states new House seats that will be stripped from Red states.

If there were only 20 million illegals here ICE would have to deport almost 14,000 a day to clean them out in 4 years.
