That would be that day when you find this in the pocket of a coat you haven't worn in two years...
The unknown winner of a Powerball jackpot ticket purchased in Huber Heights has missed the deadline to claim a $138 million prize. The winning ticket expired on Dec. 30, according to the Ohio Lottery.
The auto-pick ticket, which matched all five numbers plus the Powerball, was purchased at the Huber Heights Walmart, located at 7680 Brandt Pike. The winning numbers were 2-26-33-55-57, and the red Powerball number was 22.
Had the winner come forward, they would have had the option to take the annuity prize, payable over 30 years, or the cash option prize of $65.8 million. Sales generated in Ohio that contributed to the jackpot go to the unclaimed prize fund which becomes part of lottery profit to help support education in Ohio. The state of Ohio will retain approximately $1.9 million.
