I thought they were all somehow connected...

'Wildfires' around LA happen on an annual basis. It's incomprehensible to most rational people outside the city that they have no way of controlling these annual events having as much experience as they've had.
Many have said they worry too much about unimportant shit like imigrants and diversity and snail darters. I can't say anything for sure beyond the fact that we don't call the state the 'Land of fruits and nuts' for nothing...

At what point do we fight back against jerkoffs regulations like this - and the people who arbitrarily make them to garner control over us? Evey time we blink someone else in government is telling how we should - and worse how we have to - live our lives.

Looking back to when we were kids (I'm 71 now) it's hard to comprehend how low prices seemed to be. This menu from Woolworth's luncheon in the early 60's seems tooinexpensive to even believe, but then again everything - prices, styles, etc. - are relative only to the time in which they were in effect.

  2. Wouldn't it be great if "they" all ended up like Elliot Ness?

  3. When I was a kid when you looked at the mountains anywhere in southern Calif there were fire breaks on the ridges. Lots were done by convicts. Convict labor used to clear the brush along our street every year. But the rich people complained that firebreaks were eyesores so they stopped maintaining them.
