Would it have been better were it shot in color? I think not...

Louie, this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship...

Most people consider this, along with Gone with the wind, to be the best
of all the Hollywood classic movies. I can't disagree - having seen both at least 15 times each, it's damn near impossible to not watch 'em when they're on, and they're almost always on, somewhere...

Thanks to a lot of you guys, Babs had a great month leading up to Christmas. She
still has a number of items in her store. Need a gift idea? Click on that banner.

  1. If it was technicolor it would've been better.

  2. Golden Age Hollywood made enduring classics. If you like, Giusepp', give my favorite Christmas movie a look-see: Since You Went Away, starring Claudette Colbert, Jennifer Jones, Joseph Cotten, Shirley Temple, Hattie McDaniel, Monty Woolley, Agnes Moorehead, Robert Walker, and a host of other classic actors, some of whom went on to careers in Golden Age TV. You can see it on YooToob, or catch it on DVD.

  3. Anything with Bogie. I actually prefer the Maltese Falcon, but Casablanca is excellent, too.

Sometimes, one HillBetty a day just isn't enough...

They love their Daisy Dukes, don't they? Well, we do too...   ...     ...
