I went to Winn-Dixie yesterday afternoon to buy some chicken breasts to make cutlets for chicken parm. The only boneless breasts they had were 'organic' (whatever the fuck that means) and they were $ 4.49 a pound. Normally, regular chicken breasts run around $ 3.49 a pound.
I don't think you can blame it on this bird flu shit. I think our dollar just ain't what it usta be just a short coupla years ago - when the same chicken breasts were $ 1.79 a pound.
(PS - the same chicken breasts at ALDI were $ 2.29 a pound, just so ya know...)
