ReplyDeleteAlways liked Knopfler and his finger picking style....had a unique sound, mesmerizing and at the same time haunting....Brothers in Arms was a fine example as well as Planet of New Orleans, Iron Hand, and On Every Street...all songs I'd bet most on here would appreciate....the other thing unusual about him and that set him apart from his contemporaries, no matter how complex his leads were, he sounded the same live as he did in the studio, with just enough variance to let you know he was, indeed, playing....
