A childhood memory to savor?

If you were ever on this ride you probably
don't even remember it...

Herbert Sellner invented the Tilt-A-Whirl in 1926 at his Faribault, Minnesota, home. His goal was to provide riders with “pleasurable and unexpected sensations” by swinging, snapping, and rotating them in an unpredictable pattern. In 1927, the first 14 Tilt-A-Whirls were built in Sellner's basement and yard. Sellner Manufacturing opened its factory in Faribault and the ride debuted at the Minnesota State Fair. More than a thousand rides were eventually built. Some of the rides produced in the 1940s and 1950s are still in operation.

Harris has been so consistently unpopular that, however bad things have gotten for Biden, her existence has meant there was no real pressure for him to step aside. Given the identity politics involved in sidelining Harris, the idea that the Democrats would ever be able to ditch Biden and somehow swap in California governor Gavin Newsom or somebody else was pure fantasy. Thus, for the past several years, Democrats have had to ask themselves: Would we rather stick with Biden, or take our chances with Harris?
This is an interesting take on what will become a genuine problem for the Dems in coming months. The question? 'If not Joe, who?' is legit.
National Review has a unique perspective on this scenario. Take a look:

Every year around this time, I get really, really confused...

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced the nominees for its class of 2024 on Saturday. Two-thirds of the artists on the list for "rock's highest honor" are first time nominees, and many are women. Mariah Carey, Cher, Sinéad O'Connor, and Sade made the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's inductee shortlist for the first time, and Mary J. Blige made a reappearance.
Other nominees for 2024 include Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Jane's Addiction, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, Ozzy Osbourne and A Tribe Called Quest. According to the Hall of Fame, artists must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination to be considered.

  2. Dems might be talking about substituting Kamala for Joe, but Kamala seems bent on taking herself out of the picture:
