They still can't figure out what to do with the paper bags. Unfriggin'believable...

New Jersey grocery deliveries will not be arriving in paper bags.
At least not for some months.
Starting last May, New Jersey’s single-use bag ban - considered likely the strictest in the nation - has made it illegal for stores, restaurants and other businesses to hand out plastic bags as part of a larger statewide sustainability goal of reducing waste. The ban includes restrictions on providing or selling Styrofoam-like products.
A unique feature of the legislation passed in November 2020 is paper bags cannot be handed out or sold at big box stores and grocery stores at or larger than 2,500 square feet (which is most).
After residents across the state began to accumulate reusable bags, officials proposed allowing paper bags for online orders.

Based on conversations with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and other top officials, it appears “the issue with the third party suppliers is going to resolve itself.”
In other words, they created this clusterfuck and they don't know how to unfuck the cluster. Brilliant.

  1. All these little twatwaffles born after 1970 don't remember when every fucking store on the planet went to plastic to "save the trees".
    Human beings are insane.
