President Joe Biden warned supporters on Thursday that the world is facing “Armageddon” due to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. The president compared 'his plight' to that of former President John F. Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis with the Soviet Union. “We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis,” Biden told supporters at a Democratic fundraiser in New York City.
That's a sure-fire way to raise money for the cause, Joe - well played...

Chris Cuomo’s return to primetime cable news was a ratings flop that landed him in last place against the competition. The former CNN star’s premiere of his new show “Cuomo” on NewsNation pulled in just 147,000 total viewers on Monday night, according to figures released by Nielsen Media Research.
Cuomo - who as reported by The Post is being paid just $1 million a year by the fledgling network, a fraction of his compensation at CNN - fared poorly in the 25-to-54-year-old age demographic most coveted by advertisers, drawing just 8,000 viewers.
CNBC, Fox Business, HLN and Newsmax all beat Cuomo in the 25-54 demographic, according to Nielsen. Cuomo’s viewership in the 25-54 demographic was smaller than the 7 p.m. hour that preceded his show on NewsNation.
Adding insult to injury for Cuomo was the fact that reruns of syndicated shows such as “Blue Bloods” on NewsNation as well as “Paw Patrol,” “SpongeBob,” “Seinfeld,” “Cocomelon,” “The Office” and “Bobs Burgers” all drew more total viewers and in the 25-54 demographic.

Is nothing sacred anymore? Every time you turn around, somebody's saying something was 'rigged from the start'...

“Humiliated” contestants claim the 2022 Miss USA pageant was “rigged” and that the winner of the contest, Miss Texas R’Bonney Gabriel, was predetermined — or so say theories circulating TikTok, which claim no one had a “fair chance.”
Miss Montana Heather Lee O’Keefe fired up the rumor mill online following the contest on Monday, when Gabriel, 28, was crowned — which made her the first Filipina American to win the Miss USA title. She’s also the first Asian American contestant to earn the Miss Texas USA state title.

“Most of the Miss USA contestants feel very strongly that there was favoritism towards Miss Texas USA and we have the receipts to prove it,” O’Keefe claimed in a TikTok video with over 29,000 views. Miss New York Heather Nunez wrote on her personal account’s Instagram Stories that she was “humiliated” and thought everyone had a “fair chance.” “I am lost for words,” she wrote. “The way I entered this pageant and gave it every last bit of my heart and soul… We were humiliated, thinking we entered something with a fair chance.” Buncha fuckin' crybabies. Jeez...

There ya go, Joe - there's a couple thousand more people who might vote for you in '24...
President Biden will pardon everyone who has been convicted of simple possession of marijuana under federal law, the White House announced Thursday. “There are thousands of people who have prior federal convictions for marijuana possession, who may be denied employment, housing, or educational opportunities as a result.  My action will help relieve the collateral consequences arising from these convictions,” Biden said in a statement.

Is this actually newsworthy or have we all just become blithering idiots? I'm gonna go with the latter. The internet has been going batshit stupid because of a 162-year-old painting where a woman looks like she might be holding a smartphone.
Take a look at Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller’s “The Expected One” and you’ll immediately see a woman in the center of the painting walking through a scenic landscape to a man awaiting in the bushes, holding a pink flower.
Through a 21st-century lens, it seems as though the woman is scrolling through her iPhone while on her walk. But that obviously wouldn’t make any sense since the iPhone was released in 2007 and the painting was completed in 1860
But according to art critics, there’s a simple explanation to the illusion. The woman is said to be reading a prayer book during her stroll rather than browsing social media. The girl in this Waldmüller painting is not playing with her new iPhone X, but is off to church holding a little prayer book in her hands.

President Biden, to hear him tell it, is as Greek as Poseidon. He was brought up by both the Puerto Rican community and the Black community. And he’s more Jewish than the Jews.
“I probably went to shul more than many of you did. You all think I’m kidding,” Biden said to laughter last week during a ceremony celebrating Rosh Hashanah, pointing at a rabbi from Wilmington, Del. “He can tell you I’m not. I’m not.” “I’m a practicing Catholic, but I’d go to services on Saturday and on Sunday,” he added. Amid the laughter, he again affirmed: “You all think I’m kidding. I’m not.”
And this week, speaking to a group of Puerto Ricans in the aftermath of Hurricane Fiona, Biden found kinship with a different culture. “I was sort of raised in the Puerto Rican community at home, politically,” he said.
Put Biden in front of a crowd, and he’ll try to connect with it — even if, at times, the connection seems to stretch the available facts. When delivering the commencement address for the U.S. Naval Academy, he claimed to have almost attended the school. When he spoke to a group of athletes in Israel, he suggested he came close to trying out as a walk-on in the NFL.

Federal agents believe there is enough evidence to criminally charge Hunter Biden with tax crimes and with lying about his drug use when he bought a handgun in 2018, the Washington Post and CBS News have reported, but the US attorney in Delaware, who is overseeing the investigation of the president’s son, has not yet decided whether to file criminal charges in the case.
That federal prosecutor, David C Weiss, was originally nominated and served in Donald Trump’s administration, and has continued serving in Biden’s administration in part because of the political backlash his removal would likely have caused, given his oversight of the Biden investigation.

  1. Biden identifies himself as Irish Catholic as well despite having more English DNA. All in all, he's a pedigree mongrel.

  2. "I’m a practicing Catholic, but I’d go to services on Saturday and on Sunday,”

Then it looks like the admonitions against theft, lying and adultery didn't take hold.
