ORLANDO, Fla. - A 40-year-old man who was allegedly blocking
traffic in Orlando, Florida, by doing gymnastics in the road was caught on video attempting to evade arrest by cartwheeling away from police.
This video, shared by Olivier Francois, shows the man in the path of a truck at a Wawa in Orlando. At one point, the man lies down in the middle of the roadway. Eventually he gestured a cross sign over his body and lay down on the tarmac.
The guy then threw his white baseball cap across the parking lot
towards the truck - sparking laughter in those watching nearby.
Orange County Sheriff’s Department officers attempt to detain the man, who frees himself, performs another cartwheel, fitting in time for one more cartwheel. The guy was eventually pulled to the ground and handcuffed as a police officer aggressively shouted: 'You do not fucking move!'
When he was pulled up to his knees the man apologized,
saying: 'I'm sorry. I'm sorry.' and then is again caught and
cuffed by the cops.
According to the sheriff’s office, the gymnast, Gianfranco Fernandez, was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
