Smurfing for Nazis...

Nearly-newly discovered photos show Nazi officers
in top-secret training facility...

German officers attend a very long and technical demonstration about 'smurfing' high explosives into peoples faces, prior to Operation Fall Blau, 1 April, 1939.
The Armoured Smurf Division was formed just before WWII as a neutral Peace keeping Unit (PKU). However, the peace mission ultimately came to nothing as the parties started to fight their quarrels over their heads.
Although the Smurf Division was only lightly armed with small high explosive packages and magic potions, they were never given the mandate to use any of these prior to WW2, let alone the 'Phony War'.

Moreover, the smurfs themselves had their hands full defending their own territory, which was repeatedly attacked by two fanatical invaders in particular.
The Germans in this photo, previously very interested in the giftwrapped presents, were not amused when these suddenly exploded in their faces. Luckily for them, no one was fatally injured.
In the background Americans are waiting their turn.
