Hollywood is the master of hiding money. Doesn't matter how much a movie grosses, they find a way for a paper loss. Baldwin most likely has the bulk of his money hidden in various trusts. OJ was not part of Hollywood royalty, but I don't think the Goldman family ever saw a dime. The movie production company probably had an insurance policy and that's probably all the victim's family will see.
ReplyDeleteFirst rule I was taught was when handed a gun check to see if it's loaded.....Alec Baldwin is a stupid son of a bitch....
ReplyDelete1) Baldwin isn't paying for the movie to be made. He wrote it.
ReplyDelete2) All those violations were by the armorer, not Baldwin. There are 79 rules for firearms safety. She personally violated just about every single one, starting with bringing a real gun to the set.
3) The gun was loaded with dummy rounds, because the camera was supposed to be looking right down the barrel. Baldwin "checking it" wouldn't have accomplished anything, because the armorer not only
a) brought a real gun to set, which was a major safety violation
b) brought live rounds to set, which was a major safety violation
c) loaded the live round in the gun, which is a HUGE major safety violation,
but also
d)didn't conspicuously mark the live rounds in the live gun that weren't supposed to even be on the set, which isn't just a major safety violation, it made it impossible for anyone else to notice her incompetence was literally playing Russian Roulette with the crew members' lives.
Baldwin, OTOH, pointed what was supposed to be a fake gun with harmless dummy rounds right at the camera, which was the exact camera shot and scene in the script they were rehearsing.
The armorer's excuse is "I have no idea how that live round got in there", which will work about as well as "I have no idea how that dope got in my pocket" would at the grand jury hearing.
Now her legal team is looking for The Mystery Saboteur; pretty much like OJ is still looking for The Real Killer.
The miracle here isn't that the armorer killed someone on that set.
It's that it took her 12 days to do it.
