Time is more constant than we are - it's life that marches on. Don't you get it?

Time has always been here and will be here forever. It's you and I who come and go...

...

Einstein's theory of relativity states that time and space are not as constant as everyday life would suggest.
He suggested that the only true constant, the speed of light, meant that time can run faster or slower depending on how high you are, and how fast you are travelling.
This gets more and more confusing the more you try to understand it.

The Pope and Obama are on the same stage in Yankee Stadium in front of a huge crowd. The Pope leans towards Mr. Obama and said, "Do you know that with one little wave of my hand I can make every person in this crowd go wild with joy? This joy will not be a momentary display, but will go deep into their hearts and they'll forever speak of this day and rejoice!"
Obama replied, "I seriously doubt that. With one little wave of your hand?
Show me!" So the Pope backhanded him and knocked him off the stage.
The crowd roared and cheered wildly and there was happiness throughout the land.

How to turn good money into bad money?
Just ask these guys.

New Jersey gambling regulators on Thursday approved the sale of half of Atlantic City’s Ocean Casino Resort to the Ilitch organization, which owns professional sports teams, a nationwide pizza chain and a casino in Detroit.
The New Jersey Casino Control Commission approved the sale, under which Ilitch will acquire 50% of the casino for $175 million, and share equally in major decisions concerning its operation with the current owners, Luxor Capital Group L.P., a New York hedge fund.
The Ocean casino opened nine years ago as Revel. The $2.4 billion resort immediately ran into financial trouble, leading to two bankruptcy filings and its closure after just over two years of operation. Gamblers hated the layout of the Casino areas, and the developer put in so many over-the-top details that it was actually hard to make your way around the hotel, which was only accessible by a 100-foot high escalator.
Colorado developer Bruce Deifik bought it in January 2018 for $200 million, and reopened it that summer. But he quickly ran out of money. Luxor, which was one of his lenders, assumed ownership of the casino in January 2019 in return for canceling Deifik’s debt. Deifik was killed in a car accident in April 2019.

File this under 'Only in Jersey'

Greasy Tony's, New Brunswick. "No charge for extra grease'' read the sign. The menu included the Trash Can, which was pretty much every meat, cheese and topping tossed into one astounding mess of a sandwich. Greasy Tony's opened in the mid-1960s at the corner of Somerset Street and Easton Avenue, and became the late night go-to for legions of ravenous and occasionally sober Rutgers students. Founder Tony Giorgianni passed away in 2008.

This is a postcard from the Boardwalk in Atlantic City from back in 1900, but it could be from just about anywhere at that time. It's summertime - check out the women's outfits. They look like friggin' muslims without the masks.

Ya think a guy smart enough to turn a bullshit website into a multi-billion dollar business (making himself one of the richest people in the world) isn't capable of careful and well-planned rigging of an election? Don't be naive. These motherfuckers can do whatever the fuck they want with us, because the majority of people are idiotic sheep.

That is a classy ad. Makes the car out to be more than it
actually was. I wonder how effective it was?

The kiss of death may have come from Guy Fieri...

This is the old Circus Drive-In that used to be on Rte. 35 in Wall Township, NJ, not too far from where I usta live. The Circus Drive-in was the state's most iconic drive-in restaurant. This old Jersey Shore landmark opened in 1954. It was especially known for its soft-shell crabs; the restaurant went through about 800 a day in season. The menu was, naturally, circus-themed, with such dishes as the Bareback Betsy, the Wild Animal Special and the Daredevil.
The place was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on the Food Network, and for whatever reason, it had the opposite effect on this place than most others that are on the show - people stopped showing up!
Within three months they were belly-up, and eventually the gloriously retro restaurant was demolished.

I'll leave you with this because after this I may have to go throw up and take a nap and 30 or 40 Quaaludes. Juss' Sayin'...

Playboy has made a mockery of the legacy of this once-great publication by featuring its first-ever gay male cover star on the front of its October 2021 digital issue, dressing influencer Bretman Rock up in one of its iconic Playboy Bunny costumes.
Bretman, a 23-year-old from the Philippines who first found 'fame' on YouTube and Vine, was also the star of this year's MTV reality show MTV Following: Bretman Rock.
While Bretman isn't the first man to get his own Playboy cover — singer Bad Bunny and founder Hugh Hefner himself have both starred alone on the front of the magazine — he is the first to 'fully embrace the Playboy aesthetic and dress in a corset, heels, ears, and a tail.'
The world as we have known it no longer exists.

  2. Guy Fieri's show has been the kiss of death for more than one great, local restaurant

  3. I think that Top 40 list is bogus. A bunch of those songs charted well before 1976. Layla, for example, charted in 1972. However, that list would make a great road trip song list.
