Drink Up, Beer Is Healthy Says... Heineken Exec
Beer comes with health benefits, Heineken's chief commercial officer told CNBC, offering drinkers a new reason to indulge.
Beer comes with health benefits, Heineken's chief commercial officer told CNBC, offering drinkers a new reason to indulge. "There is everything healthy about beer," said Alexis Nasard, chief commercial officer for the Dutch brewing giant.
Nasard argued that beer has fewer calories than milk and contains no additives.
"Beer has much less calories than many things you can think about… Beer has fewer calories than a glass of milk," he said. "The other thing is beer is one of the few drinks that is purely natural; it is water, hops, barley and yeast, which is quite healthy."

Some years ago X-Box sent me to work in Dublin for a brief time. I'd not been in Ireland in generations (think about it) so I was excited for many reasons, not the least being all the great Irish beers! Whoo hoo! Imagine my disillusionment on finding that most pubs carry junk like MGD, Budweiser, Guinness of course, Bulmer's - called Magners in America - and Heineken. And that's about it. Seems there is only one distributer on the island, as I was told so this may be bullhockey, and they carry a very limited list. Now, Heini is fine, far better than the American hose piss, but it was IRELAND, f.g.s! Ah, where's m Kilkenny?
ReplyDeleteNice Beer commercial. I hope they paid you well.
