Back in the very early 2000's, Babs and I owned a B&B in Manasquan, NJ. It's still there - the Nathaniel Morris Inn, even though we sold it '05. Anyway, I did most, if not all, of the cooking for the guests' breakfasts. One morning, after having one of my favorite dinners the night before - cavatelli with broccoli and onions, I was stumped for an idea for an egg dish. Panning the fridge, I saw the leftover pasta and veg.
Acting on a hunch, I mixed the leftovers with eggs and cheese and other stuff and whipped up a quiche out of it. The guests snarfed that shit like it had heroin in it, and it became one of our most-requested breakfast entrees. Go figure - from leftover pasta to a much-loved breakfast entree. ya can't make this shit up...
