Trump has revealed his plan to stop Democrats from derailing his agenda if they seize control of Congress in Tuesday’s crucial midterm elections. The president, 80, insisted he would still be able to get things done in Washington even if Republicans suffer a major setback at the polls.
Trump revealed he would use his presidential veto powers to block legislation pushed through by Democrats before eventually forcing them to the negotiating table. “I guess I’ll become Mr. Veto,” Trump told the New York Post’s Miranda Devine on her Pod Force One podcast. “I’m not going to let them ruin it,” he vowed.
The president suggested that Democrats would quickly grow frustrated if their attempts to pass legislation were repeatedly shot down by the White House. So, I guess that'd mean two full years of nothing getting done, huh? What a great plan. Gives us something to look forward to...
