I guess he thinks that basketball court he put in was a better idea. Obama took aim at President Donald Trump during a Democratic campaign rally in Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday, October 24. Mocking Trump’s White House renovations, Obama joked, “He’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory.” He also suggested Trump belonged on HGTV instead of focusing on renovations while Americans face rising costs.
Obama criticized Trump’s new ballroom project, paved Rose Garden, helicopter pad, and gold decorations. But the Trump administration says the improvements serve practical purposes, including better facilities for official events and visitors.
Interestingly, former President Bill Clinton also criticized Trump’s Rose Garden makeover this week, comparing it to the entrance of Liberace’s bathroom.
Two former Democratic presidents attacking Trump’s decorating choices in the same week. Is this a legitimate concern about the White House, or just another political fight?
