Florida people - some, not me - spend all summer begging for cooler weather, dreaming about fall leaves, cozy hoodies, and pumpkin spice everything. Then October arrives, and it’s STILL 90° outside!
At 50°, Floridians are pulling out winter coats, fuzzy blankets, and asking, “WHY IS IT SO COLD?!” At 90°, they’re sweating in the grocery store parking lot, burning their hands on the steering wheel, and wondering why their car feels like an oven. I know people who keep their house thermostats at 70 degrees in the summer.. You could hang meat in their friggin' living rooms.
Meanwhile, that ONE Florida guy (me) is still wearing flip-flops, gym shorts, and sleeveless T's, sipping a cold one beside a palm tree like nothing is happening.
Look - I'm not bitchin' about the weather here. Yeah - it's hot as fuckall in the summer, and there are ocassional freezes in February, but I wouldn't trade this in for my old snow shovel for anything. Woke up today it was 52. Got up into the low 70's midday. Damn near perfect.
Tomorrow'll be cooler, than back up in to the 80's on Monday. Everyday ain't exactly a flip-flop day, but I rarely bitch as long as the hurricanes stay the fuck away. Ideal thermostat settings in our house? 82 in summer, 68 in winter. Know what I mean?
