Is inflation really as bad as the media makes it out to be? They say inflation is a dominant concern for American households in late 2026, with families feeling the pinch in unexpected places. One report stated that parents are explicitly warning their kids not to expect much, reflecting broader economic anxiety that has seeped into seasonal rituals.
Political debate continues over the causes and duration of these issues, with voters expressing frustration that everyday costs remain elevated despite earlier 'promises of relief' from this - and every other administration.
The cartoon tries to make the pointed argument that the economy is delivering disappointment at every level, including to children. By inferring that parents somehow pass along lowered expectations, it suggests that current conditions are forcing families to accept diminished returns on once-simple traditions.

Ireland will set up a government body that would for the first time undertake research and preparations for the possibility of future unity with British-run Northern Ireland, Prime Minister Micheal Martin was quoted as saying on Friday.
The new body would be tasked with scoping out the models and challenges for different potential outcomes, including Northern Ireland remaining part of the United Kingdom or maintaining its devolved entity but as part of a united Ireland.

On December 8, 1940, at Griffith Stadium in Washington, D.C., the Chicago Bears demolished the Washington Redskins 73–0 in the NFL Championship Game. It remains the largest margin of victory in league history (regular season or playoffs). Attendance was a sellout 36,034.
This was the first NFL title game broadcast nationwide, carried by the Mutual Broadcasting System with Red Barber as the sole announcer (no color commentator). Barber later recalled calling the game alone from a precarious overhang and, at one point late in the blowout, bringing in Nebraska coach Biff Jones to confirm the score on air because listeners who tuned in mid-game might not believe what they were hearing.

There is now imperical evidence that she is as dumb as she looks. Ilhan Omar was so confused by her marriage to her brother, she crossed out her own name twice on the official application.
A certified copy from the Hennepin County, Minn., government shows that the Democratic congresswoman’s surname was initially written as Omar, before being crossed out and replaced with Elmi. A final edit reverted it back to Omar.
Yet another layer gets peeled off her bullshit onion.
Wuddya think - she got her bags packed already?

The 'Act like a jerkoff and break and burn shit virus' is spreading all over Europe. I personally find it hard to believe that any of these protests (so-called because they're actually riots and mayhem) have anything to do with school conditions.
More likely than not it's just a way that dramatizes how effective social media is in getting out any message to impressionable young out-of-work jerkoffs.

How many hours could we spend with our Tonka trucks? When I was a kid, we had a swimming pool in the backyard that my Dad had put sand down for it to sit on, so there were no bumps in the liner.
Well, when the pool went back in to the garage at the end of the summer, me and my brothers had a great sand pit (like about an inch thick at most) to play in. We could spend the whole day out there, building roads, digging mines - whatever we could conjur. It sucks that I have no idea what ever happened to those - and my Matchbox cars and trucks. Maybe they just got regifted to some other kid in our ridiculously extended family...
