Former CNN anchor and outspoken Trump critic Don Lemon is seriously considering a run for president. And apparently, he likes his chances of doing a better job than Donald Trump.
During an October 3 appearance on Spencer Macnaughton’s UNCLOSETED podcast (gee - I wonder what the underlying theme of that show is), Lemon was asked how likely he was to run for president someday. His answer? “65, 70” percent.
Lemon, who was fired by CNN in 2023 for being a complete jerkoff, says people 'regularly approach him and encourage him to enter politics'. He believes his experience interviewing political candidates has made him consider whether he could accomplish more in the White House than behind a microphone.
“I think I could be a better president than Donald Trump,” Lemon declared.
The former CNN personality also acknowledged that running for president would be a major undertaking. He said he enjoys his current work as an independent journalist and isn’t ready to abandon it.
“If the people want me, I’ll do it,” Lemon said.
This isn’t the first time Lemon has floated the idea. Back in July, he said he was seriously considering a presidential campaign and suggested that many potential 2028 contenders weren’t particularly impressive.
For now, Lemon has not officially announced a campaign, identified a political party he would run under, or committed to the 2028 election.
But one thing is clear: The former CNN anchor who spent years criticizing Trump is now publicly entertaining the idea of becoming president himself.

ReplyDeleteJust a comment on the tart cherry treatment for gout: This stuff does not actually remove uric acid from your system. It is a natural anti-inflammatory that down-regulates a couple of different inflammation pathways: IL-2 and one of the COX pathways. It does the job as an anti-inflammatory but can stop working during a serious gout attack. Great stuff and cheap too, I have been using it for years.
Just the same, it can fail during a serious attack.
