That's a bit of a stretch, but once you get past the childish depiction, it does kinda make a point. Food inflation has remained stubbornly high into late 2026, with grocery costs continuing to outpace basic incomes for many Americans. Households report cutting back on staples and seeking any available free sources of calories, including seasonal handouts. There is no trend of adults participating in trick-or-treating, but the imaging reflects real pressure on food budgets that shows no sign of easing.
Broader economic conditions, including supply chain issues and elevated energy prices, have kept inflation elevated in the food sector. Policymakers have struggled to bring costs down without triggering recessionary effects, leaving middle-income families to absorb the impact through reduced consumption and creative coping strategies. Public policy can never raise or lower prices without making some purchases mandatory under law or banning a product or service. Pricing is a free-market concept. Where there is a greater demand, there are price increases. Economics 101 covered that a long time ago.

When the pandemic hit, long-term care facilities across the country shut their doors to visitors and largely kept residents to their rooms, suspending most group activities and communal meals to protect residents from Covid-19.
That was 6+ years ago, but at times it feels like it was a million years ago.
Imagine living a full, meaningful life for 85 or 90 years, only to spend your remaining few days and weeks in complete isolation - shut off from family and friends, the people you need and want the most at that stage of your life. It's truly tragic what they did to the remains of the greatest generation.
We should be ashamed of the idiots we've put in charge and in office. We haven't learned a thing, have we?

Critics argue that super PACs (independent expenditure-only political committees) have a negative influence on American politics for several key reasons: Super PACs can raise and spend unlimited funds from corporations, unions, and ultra-wealthy individuals, allowing millionaires and billionaires to funnel massive sums into elections. Critics like the Brennan Center for Justice argue this drowns out the voices of regular voters and gives the superrich outsized access and sway over elected officials.
According to analysis from the Campaign Legal Center, this dynamic illustrates how wealthy special interests skew the political system. Critics contend that politicians end up catering to a tiny slice of mega-donors rather than the general public.
While super PACs themselves are required to disclose their donors to the Federal Election Commission, money is sometimes funneled through intermediate non-profit groups (501(c)(4) organizations) that obscure the original source of the funds, creating what is known as "dark money"

I guess because she was also so incredibly beautiful with a body that went from top to bottom and back up. I've also read that she was bat-shit crazy and drank like a fish. I'd say, all in all, that's pretty much what any guy would look for in a woman, don't you?

Sfogliatella (we called 'em 'foojies' when we were kids) may easily be my favorite of all Italian treats, and I'll be damned if I can find one single bakery anywhere within 59 miles of here that makes a decent one.
With a good cup of coffee or espresso with maybe a little Sambucco to go with it, I could easily take an hour enjoying one, eating one or two layers at a time.
