Their problem wasn't just choking in the playoffs, but the New York Yankees’ summer peanut shortage ended just in time for the team to get eliminated from the playoffs. Fans who headed to Yankee Stadium in August or September might have noticed that peanuts were difficult to find at the iconic MLB ballpark.
It turns out that the Yankees have quietly endured low peanut supplies for the best part of two months. Unfortunately for those fans, their season ended just as the peanuts came back in plentiful supply on Wednesday night.
There's gonna be a lot of happy, fat squirrels up in the Bronx this winter. At least something good'll come out of this mess of a season. No peanuts is the least of that team's problems.
They gotta sell a lot of peanuts to cover that payroll...

That's only 34 cents per cup and it's GOOD coffee!
