Andrew Lumish, an upholstery cleaning business owner based in Tampa, Florida, began his restoration project after visiting a local cemetery on a day off to photograph historic monuments. While exploring the grounds, he was struck by how many military headstones, some belonging to veterans of the Civil War, World War I, and World War II, had become virtually unreadable. Covered in decades of mildew, algae, lichen, and dirt, the names and sacrifices of these service members were fading into obscurity. Driven by a desire to honor their legacy, he decided to use his professional knowledge of cleaning agents to restore the stones.
Known online as "The Good Cemeterian," Lumish spends his Sundays carefully cleaning the headstones using specialized, non-acidic biological cleaners like D/2, which gently break down organic buildup without damaging or eroding the delicate, historic marble and granite.
The process requires patience, as the non-toxic chemical solution often takes several applications, soft scrubbing, and weeks of natural sunlight to fully lift deep-seated biological stains and restore the stone to its original bright finish.

I bet he is using a skeleton crew!
