Perspective being what it is...

Being 20 in the 1970s meant experiencing our youth with fewer digital distractions, simpler social connections, and iconic music, which many people fondly contrast with being 70 in the 2020s. This popular nostalgic quip - often attributed to rock musician Joe Walsh - plays on the double meaning of the numbers 20 and 70, comparing the prime of youth fifty years ago to the realities of reaching older age today.
Why did the 1970s feel so different? Easy - No Screens: Socializing happened face-to-face in living rooms or diners without smartphones interrupting the room. Our music culture was based on vinyl records, cassette tapes, and legendary rock concerts defined the social calendar.
Memories were made in real time rather than curated or recorded for social media platforms. Life in our 70's brings physical slowdowns and health concerns, though often balanced by life experience and wisdom. Navigating a fast-moving, hyper-connected digital world can feel overwhelming compared to the analog pace of the '70s.
Why mindset matters: Many older adults note that a positive attitude helps them enjoy their current stage of life just as much, even if it looks entirely different.
That kinda says it all, don't it?
