President Trump claimed in an unprecedented announcement Friday that he was banning CNN, MS Now and Politico reporters from the White House “effective immediately” for allegedly reporting “Fake News.”
The action, which if imposed would trigger First Amendment lawsuits, follows years of selective discrimination against outlets by both Democratic and Republican administrations, which included limited access to events but stopped short of a ban on working from the White House grounds.
As Paulie Walnuts would say...
This'll be law suited before the ink is dry on this blog post, and they'll find an Obummer judge to say how illegal it is. Yeah, it's a first amendment thing, freedom of the press ans free speech and all that shit, but give this a minute to sink in: the argument can be made that yes, the White House is the people's house and all that shit, but it's his home for the tenure of his term.
Basically, as long as he's in office, he's the tenant, right? Doesn't a tenant have the right to exclude people from his home? That's the argument I'd use if I was one of his legal eagles. Juss' sayin'...
