Kansas students have been forced to put cell phones into lockers before they set foot in class as part of a blanket ban on the devices in schools across the state. Thousands of students in grades K-12 are banned from using their cell phones during the school day under HB 2299, which outgoing Kansas Gov. I can't see how any parent would think this wasn't a good idea. In theory, it should get kids focus back on paying attention - and learning. As an added plus, it'll prevent kids from cheating and using online tools to look shit up. I'm sure there's some Karens out there who'll bitch about this. I hope to fuck the powers that be don't listen to them. Maybe this should be a model for all States to impelement...
