Lamborghini on Friday launched the Revuelto SV, a limited-edition hybrid version of its V12 Revuelto that’s the fastest and most powerful car ever built at its factory. The model is the latest in Lamborghini’s storied “SV” line, which began 55 years ago with the Miura SV and has showcased lighter, more aerodynamic and more powerful versions of its flagship supercars. The new hybrid supercar gets an electrified boost to add to “the adrenaline and the emotions” of driving a Lambo, the car’s product chief told CNBC.
The Italian auto manufacturer will make only 1,963 Revuelto SVs. The supercar starts at $741,172.
It starts with Lamborghini’s naturally aspirated V12 engine and adds three electric motors to boost the power to more than 1,050 horsepower and race from zero to 100 kph (62 mph) in just 2.4 seconds.

ReplyDelete3 bays and a upstairs that used to be a hay loft. one day in summer had a kid I never saw before drag his bike up and ask for help. I did help. filled his tires, adjusted his handle bars and seat and sent him on his way. anyway, 2 days later there was 4-5 kids with bikes in my driveway. same deal. flat tires, loose handle bars or seats. got to became a regular thing on weekends (?) not sure I how, but the word spread like wildfire that I would fix their bikes. never spent more than 2-3 hours at it but it did make me feel better. helping little kids out. years later when I was closing up the "shop" 2 big black guys came up to me and asked if they could help. I didn't know them from Adam. wasn't sure about it at all until one of them said, you are the bike guy who fixed my bike every time I broke something on it. here another fact, in the 15 years I had the garage, NOTHING was ever stolen from me there (in Philly, no less)
people remember the little things like acts of kindness. and I did pass on some tools and all of the bike parts I had to another guy across the street from my garage so, he could take up where I left off. blew out my back (bad) and could hardy walk let alone work on anything. last I heard, he was still fixing bikes on weekends

ReplyDeleteMy dad was a combat engineer in Europe when they were told they'd be going to Japan. Don't let people tell you America was evil to drop the atomic bomb. Japan and Germany were working like mad to get one.
ReplyDeleteMy dad was a ball turret gunner and flew 2 tours in europe one in 43 and another in 44. He was home on leave in August of 45 preparing to report for training and assignment to the pacific. When he received a telegram telling him that he didnt have to go. He wasn't sad that the Japanese got bombed. 3 of his brothers were army in europe, one actually was sent to the Philippines, just as the war ended. None of them were sad they got A bombed.

ReplyDeleteAlmost everybody in the US Army, as well as the Navy, would have been in on the invasion of Japan or operations in China and Korea. The bombs saved a lot of lives.
